Who Are You Now?
I love approaching life with curiosity. And yet sometimes I forget to approach people in my life – myself included – with this same sense of openness and wonder.
At the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in Hillsdale NY this past weekend, singer/songwriter Ellis played a new song which reminds me to ask the question “who are you now?” – to ask this of those close to me, of myself, and even of people I imagine are rigid in their perspectives. I feel inspired by the idea of giving ourselves and each other room to change.
I believe transformation is possible and happens often without us even realizing it, though we may find ourselves stuck in a picture of who we once were, who someone else once was, or of how we assume a situation will turn out. Yet it is a new day. And the way we experience the world evolves.
I invite you – and myself – to be curious about who you are, and who I am, TODAY. And to live accordingly.
